The new Labor Code to be adopted shortly
Ukrainian Vice Premier and Social Policy Minister Sergiy Tigipko believes the new Labor Code may be adopted in Ukraine in the first half of 2011. Mr. Tigipko says that the Labor Code will be perfected in the coming three months and will be presented for public discussion. So, the new Code may be adopted in six months. Ukrainian government believes that the current Labor Code neither protects employees' interests nor meets the demands of employers although this statement is quite disputable, in our opinion. The new Code is hardly going to be favourable for Ukrainian employees in view of the number of large business owners in the government. We would be glad to hear your comments!
