Nick Eastwell

Nick Eastwell is regional managing partner of Linklaters’ Emerging Europe, Middle East and North Africa (“EEMENA”) practice, which includes more than 60 partners advising across more than 50 jurisdictions in the region.

Nick specialises in capital markets transactions, including issues/offerings of debt, equity-related debt, equity and depositary receipts in international markets and debt issuance programmes, with a particular emphasis on the emerging markets. He has been involved in pioneering deals throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa, in particular: Croatia, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Russia in Central and Eastern Europe; Lebanon and Jordan in the Middle East; and in Egypt, South Africa and Malawi in Africa. He has also been involved in many of the key pioneering deals in Asia, particularly China, India, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Thailand and has advised on a number of deals in South America.

Having been a partner with Linklaters in Hong Kong and London since 1989, Nick was managing partner of Linklaters’ newly created network of offices in Central and Eastern Europe from 1999 to 2005 and global head of Linklaters’ Capital Markets Department from 2003 to 2008.
