During 2003-2004, we contributed materials and comments to the draft Report of the
Energy Charter Secretariat on Regulation of International Natural Gas Transportation
(Country Report Ukraine), which is an integral part of the "Regulation of
International Natural Gas Transportation" project of the Energy Charter Secretariat.
The draft Report presented an analysis of the legal regime for natural gas transportation
in Ukraine and identified legal barriers to natural gas transit across Ukrainian territory.
The analysis of the legal regime was based on a comparative study, in which relevant
domestic law was compared to international rights and obligations in the field of natural
gas transportation.
